I saw Super Robot Taisen Impact at my friends house today and I was surprised at G Gundam. Domon's Japanese voice is so much cooler than the dub. It was pretty funny, since the SRTI's Shining Finger looked SOOOOOO much cooler than the anime. Even Aestivalis' attacks look awesome. Must.....get ....it. The new SRT, Delta, is coming out for PS2 soon. I need JP PS2!!

A thing i'd like to speak here, because it is something that has frustrated me. It is the second disc of Xenogears.
What happened to all those zones which were bound to appear? i've played very little, and even the game freezes when fighting a certain boss... (i luckily beat it...) And the only thing i do is read and read the plot as it evolves, but i do nothing! What happened to the rest of the dungeons?
I happened to spot over the reason, and it was that the developers of Xenogears wanted to make a game really long and worked, but happened that they delayed on their deadlines, and Square told them to finish it already, or they'd take care of Xenogears and would finish it as soon as they were able to (That is, while they were done programming their last FF... that is never because when they finish a FF they start with the following...).
I happened to see who is the producer of Xenogears, Hironobu "Final Fantasy" Sakaguchi, It is, Square, and because of that, i DAMM Square Damm you Square! Xenogears could have been a master piece of the ludic entertainment, and you didn't gave it the time it required!

The Project Noah (Xenogears Episode 5) was going to be a huge game. They were going to do a 200 hour game, and with such a complex and long story, it wouldn't be any boring (actually, half of the game are cut-scenes and dialogues). However, Square were pushing them to release it as soon as possible, so they had to rush it by the third year of development (*). The game ended up being 100-110 hours long, which is excellent anyways. The second disc (the last 25% of the game) had to have that story-stage-story-stage schema, until the last part of the game where you can finally explore the whole world again and some cool optional stuff (2 optional stages plus extras - you should really do them). This way they at least could release the game and tell 95% of the story. BTW, during the text scenes you can see screenshots of the in-development stages they couldn't include in the game.
BTW, the man behind the Xeno* stuff is Tetsuya Takahashi-sama. His team is called "Monolith Software". Takahashi-sama is in my list of best game directors in the world. Their musician, Mitsuda-san (who also did the Chrono Trigger soundtrack) is one of the best game music artists in the world, too. And giving the visuals of Xenosaga on PS2, we can say that their programmers and graphicians are some of the best as well, as they're pushing so much out of such a limited, hard to exploit hardware.

(*): All Square cares for are Final Fantasy games. It was good that Takahashi-sama said "screw you" and went to Namco, a company that is giving his team the importance and resources it deserves.
Indeed, i hope they make an impressive Xenogears "precuel" and it is so impressive as the screenshots i've seen make it supose. Such as "Instantaneous Nanomachines weapons!" ^^ (I think that Kos-mos has some of those things...
But the man of the money was H. $akaguchi.
I knew that some of Chrono trigger OST details were in Xenogears, it simply had that "air" i noticed a lot of similarities between them.
You gotta listen to Xenosaga's - most, if not all tracks sound like Xenogears. I also noticed that tracks Prologue and Opening from Xenosaga have too many notes in a row that are the same as those from the Xenogears intro music (and are played at the same or proportional timing). Also, the Pilentze Chante sounds very similar to The First and the Last from Xenogears.
And I like the fact that they are so similar. Anything that sounds, looks or feels like Xeno stuff is welcome [img]biggrin.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
Cool, is better that a "precuel" sounds like the game that preceeds. If Xenosaga sounds like Xenogears, it would feel like you are playing the same story. Like G1 and G2.

But a thing is sure, Xenosaga is not released in Spain. and given the case that Xenogears was not released in Spain also, maybe that Xenosaga has the same fate, I hope i mistake here, but...
